‘Dios’, 2023 use painting as a vehicle to explore and investigate the structure in which consciousness operates. Beyond its physical and chemical matter, much is unknown. Do stimuli overlap? Do they resemble something porous or opaque? Maybe one solid mass? Or liquid? Perhaps one continuous stream?

Ramirez’s paintings use accumulation and proliferation as devices to juggle a diversity of textures, surfaces, and visual information, creating random associations, leaving the viewer to question consciousness.
